September 22, 2002 Delaware and UMBC play to scoreless tie NEWARK, DE -- Delaware and UMBC played to a 0-0 tie in a men's soccer match Sunday afternoon at Delaware Mini-Stadium. UMBC (3-4-1) had the best chance to snap the scoreless tie twice, when defender Marcus Gross hit the crossbar with a header in both the first and second half. Blue Hen sophomore goalkeeper Kyle Haynes made three saves to garner his second shutout of the season, while Brian Rowland had five saves to notch his fourth shutout of the season for the Retrievers. Delaware has now been held scoreless their last four games.
