September 24, 2003 Flanigan's Late Second Half Goal Leads Hens to Win WASHINGTON, DC-- Junior Adam Flanigan (Newark, DE/St. Mark's) scored in the 85th minute of action to lift Delaware men's soccer to its third win of the season over Howard University (1-6-0), 1-0. on Wednesday afternoon. Both teams were scoreless until Flanigan tallied the unassisted game-winner at 84:00. The score marks Flanigan's first collegiate goal as Blue Hen. In goal, junior co-captain Kyle Haynes (St. Michael's, MD/St. Michael's) notched his third shutout of the season and the tenth of his career with three saves in the win. Delaware (3-3-2) returns to action on Sunday, September 28 when it travels to Iona for a 1 p.m. contest.
