NEW ROCHELLE, NY-- Delaware men's soccer falls for the fourth time this season after a late second half goal sends Iona College to a 1-0 victory. Iona's Sheu Fortunato found the back of the net at 77:27 off an assist from Nicolas Smaldone to lead the Gaels over the Blue Hens. In goal, junior co-captain Kyle Haynes (St. Michael's, MD/St. Michael's) notched four saves in the loss. Iona outshot Delaware 16-9 while the Blue Hens held the advantage on corner kicks 6-3. Delaware (3-4-2) returns to action on Friday, October 3 as it travels to Virginia Commonwealth for a 7 p.m. match.
