Blue Hens Lose
Second Game of 2003 Season
EMMITSBURG, MD -- Two different
Mt. St. Mary's players scored en route to a 2-1 victory over
the University of Delaware men's soccer team on Saturday
afternoon.
Mt. St. Mary's jumped on the scoreboard
early when John Libby scored with a header in the fifth
minute of play.
The Mountaineers would open the scoring
in the second half as Keith Bord led a break away to make
the score, 2-0 at 55:26
Delaware (2-2-1) scored its only goal of
the game less than four and a half minutes later when junior
David Egosi scored off a cross from freshman
George Severini for his first career assist.
The scored remained at 2-1 for the final
30 minutes of the match.
In goal, junior Kyle Haynes
tallied four saves in the loss.
Delaware returns to action on Wednesday,
September 17 when it takes on Lehigh at 7 p.m. at Delaware
Mini-Stadium.
