August 31, 2003 Radford, VA -- Junior forward David Egosi (Dix Hills, NY/Commack) scored the winning goal with 15:53 remaining in the game to lead the Blue Hens to their first win of the season. Egosi's goal, assisted by freshman Ian Sylvester (Dover, DE/Dover), came just 21 seconds after Radford's Patrick Colas had evened the score,1-1. Scoreless for the first 40 minutes of the game, Delaware opened the scoring in the first half when senior Nathan Danforth(Mclean, VA/Langley) assisted sophomore Justin Arpan (Dowington, PA/Dowington) for the Blue Hens first points of the game and their first score of the 2003 season. In goal for Blue Hens, junior Kyle Haynes (St. Michael's, MD/St. Michael's) trapped seven would-be goals including two standout saves in the final minutes of the match. Delaware is back in action on Friday, September 5 when they host Monmouth at 7 p.m. at Delaware Mini Stadium.
