TOWSON, MD-- Two different Towson
players scored a goal to lead the Tigers to their first win
of the season, 2-0, over the University of Delaware men's
soccer team on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers improved to 1-9-3, 1-2-2 CAA
with their first victory of the 2003 season while the Blue
Hens fell to 3-7-5, 0-3-2 CAA with the loss.
Towson got on the board in the first half
off a goal by Steve Fell at 30:48 and sealed the victory
with a second half score by Shawn Conley at
64:55.
Between the pipes, junior Kyle Haynes
(St. Michael's, MD/St. Michael's) made six saves in the
defeat.
The Blue Hens were outshot by the Tigers
16-6.
The Blue Hens return to action on Friday,
October 24 as they host William & Mary at 3 p.m. at
Delaware-Mini Stadium.
