FAIRFAX, VA -- Chris Carroll posted a game-high five shots and scored the only goal of the contest to lead George Mason University to a 1-0 win over the University of Delaware in a Colonial Athletic Association men’s soccer match on Friday night.

Sean Kelley made eight saves to post the shutout for the Patriots (9-2, 5-0 CAA). Jonathan Curry-Edwards (right) made seven saves for the Blue Hens (4-4-2, 2-3 CAA).

Just under 14 minutes in, Carroll netted the only goal of the game when his shot from 25 yards out beat Curry-Edwards low the left corner.

Delaware was unable to beat Kelley in 15 shots, including 12 in the second half after being outshot 10-3 in the first.

The Hens will return to action on Sunday when they travel to Towson to take on the Tigers at 1 p.m.
