NEWARK, DE -- The Delaware men's soccer staff will host the 2007 University of Delaware Holiday Clinic & Futsal Classic, a soccer skills clinic and futsal tournament for children, Dec. 26-27 at the Delaware Field House.

The event is divided into under-nine and under-ten age groups for boys and girls, and each age group will participate in a 45-minute technical clinic before futsal tournament play begins. Tourney fields are limited to eight teams of 10 or fewer players in each age group, and tourney champions will receive trophies. The entry fee is $150 per team, with all proceeds benefiting the University of Delaware soccer program.

Futsal is an indoor soccer game played between teams of five, including goalkeepers. The ball is slightly heavier and smaller than that used in regulation soccer, which helps players develop technical skills.
