The University of Delaware men's soccer team lost to
Hartford 2-1 on Friday at the Delaware Mini-Stadium in an
America East game.
Hartford jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead on the Hens with
in the first nine minutes of the game on goals from Kirtjan
Kristjansson and Adrian Weekes.
The Hawks kept the game under control until Rob
MacLeod scored on an unassisted goal with 18:33 left in
the game to cut the game to a one-goal deficit. Delaware
put the pressure on Hartford for the final 18 minutes, but
the Hawks hung onto their one goal lead to preserve the
victory.
Delaware outshot Hartford 19-15, including 11-7 in the
first half of the game,
