Junior Chris Ricevuto (Glenn Mills, Pa.) put in a shot with 8:07 left in the second half, as Delaware rallied from a early first half deficit to defeat Lafayette on Wednesday. The Leopards jumped on the scoreboard early as Jake Ross scored on a header off a Brad Dyer cross. Ross struck again later in the first half when he received a pass by Leidy Klotz which he put past Delaware goalie Joaquin Hurtado to make the score 2-0. Delaware struck back when at 19:25 junior Dennis O'Connell (Trumbull, Conn.) put a shot through Lafayette goalkeeper Craig Schroeder's legs to end Lafayette's season opponent scoreless streak at 385:35. Senior Scott Ensor (Mt. Airy, Md.) tied the game at 2-2 early in the second half when he put in a cross from Michael Krepps (Lansdale, Pa.). Delaware's game-winning goal came when Ricevuto took a pass from Todd Everett (Newark,Del.) and put it in the net with 8:07 left in the game. Delaware outshot Lafayette 22-10 on the day, 10-4 in the first half and 12-6 in the second half.
