The University of Delaware (4-1-1) men's soccer team achieved its longest unbeaten streak since 1985 by shutting out LaSalle (0-5) 2-0 on Sunday at the Delaware Mini-Stadium. The Blue Hens, who extended their unbeaten streak to five games, opened up the scoring in the middle of the first half when sophomore Todd Everett (Newark, DE/Newark)put in a blast from the 15-yard line off a pass from freshman Dan Keane (Newark,DE/Newark) to make the score 1-0. Delaware scored again in the second half when freshman David Hudson (Newark,DE/Glasgow) put a shot by LaSalle goalie Don Tuohey off a pass from freshman Michael Bunting (Perkassie, Pa./Pennridge) to make the score 2-0. Delaware outshot LaSalle 18-8, 7-5 in the first half and 11-3 in the second half.
