The University of Delaware played host Mt. St. Mary's to a 1-1 overtime tie in the championship game of the Chase Manhattan Mount Men's Soccer Classic Sunday afternoon. Although the game officially counts as a tie, a penalty shot period was played to crown a tournament champion. Mt. St. Mary's outscore the Hens 5-3 on penalty kicks to take the title. After 86 scoreless minutes, the Blue Hens (1-1-1) got on board first when sophomore Todd Everett scored from 12 yards out with just 2:27 left to play in regulation. But the Mount (1-0-1) came right back just 46 seconds later as Duncan Gladwin scored unassisted from 20 yards out. After two scoreless overtime periods, the game went to penalty kicks with the Mount winning as all five players scored goals.
