March 4, 2000 Kennedy Hens' Only Winner as Tennis Season Resumes BETHLEHEM, PA -- University of Delaware freshman Lee Kennedy won the Blue Hens' only match of the day with a victory at No. 3 singles as the UD men's tennis team resumed its season with a 6-1 loss to host Lehigh Saturday afternoon. The Blue Hens, playing their first match since Oct. 23, lost five singles matches in straight sets to fall to 3-6 on the season. For Lehigh, Jeff Sternberg downed Delaware's Chris Johnson at No 1 singles; Josh Kritzler downed Delaware's Sean Kelly at No. 2; Kenny Leung upended David Mouber at No. 4, Gary Drozdowski defeated Jesse Leopold at No. 5; and Ryan Cann bested Myron Schwarcz at the No. 6 spot. The Mountain Hawks also won all three doubles matches. Kennedy improved to a team-best 6-3 in singles action this season with his 3-6, 6-4, 10-8 win over Lehigh's Matt Danker at the No. 3 singles spot. The Blue Hens will return to action March 18 at Villanova.
