The Blue Hens (3-5, 1-2 America East) lost to Hartford 4-3 on Friday but bounced back with a 6-1 win over New Hampshire on Saturday. Delaware will close out its fall season at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regionals at Princeton Nov. 4-8. In the loss to Hartford, the Hens got singles victories from Lee Kennedy at No. 3 and Myron Schwarcz and No. 6 and doubles victories from the No. 2 team of Kennedy and Dave Mouber and the No. 3 team of Schwarcz and Jesse Leopold. Delaware's No. 1 player Chris Johnson lost to Hartford's Pedja Zoravkovic, the No. 1 ranked player in Yugoslavia, 6-4, 6-2. In the win over UNH, the Hens won five of the six singles matches, getting wins from Johnson, Sean Kelly, Kennedy, Mouber, and Leopold. The doubles teams of Johnson-Kelly and Kennedy-Mouber also won. Kennedy, a freshman from Cornelius, NC (North Mecklenburg), improved to a team-leading 5-3 in singles play and 3-0 in doubles.
