Tully is Hens' Lone Winner at No. 2 Singles

 BABSON PARK, FL - Host Webber College won five of the six singles matches in straight sets and swept the three doubles matches to defeat the University of Delaware 8-1 in men's tennis action Thursday afternoon.

Delaware, playing its first match since March 27, was playing its initial match during its spring trip to Florida. The Blue Hens, who fell to 6-5 on the season, will finish their trip with a match at Stetson today (Friday) in DeLand, FL.

The Blue Hens picked up their lone victory at No. 2 singles where freshman Jon Tully upped his team-leading record to 11-4 with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Webber's Alex Ciffoni.

Webber won the other five singles matches in straight sets as Robert Royt defeated Delaware's Sanjay Khindri at No. 1, Sebastian Laing downed Robert Wirth at No. 3, Patrizio Miuitiano downed Lee Kennedy at No. 4, Gildardo Lobo upended Dustin Lewis at No. 5, and Nicholas Nemeth downed Dave Mouber at No. 6.

In the closest doubles match, Delaware's No. 2 team of Wirth and Ari Zweig lost a hard-fought 9-8 match to Per Ekuallo and Nemeth.
