March 25, 2004 Delaware Men Wrap-up Florida Trip With Loss to Hatters; Khindri Wins Two for Hens DELAND, FL -- Host Stetson University swept the University of Delaware in a pair of non-league men's and women's tennis matches Thursday afternoon. The Stetson men downed Delaware 6-1 while the Hatter women downed the Blue Hens by a score of 7-0. The Delaware men (8-6) closed out their annual spring trip to Florida with a record of 1-2. The Delaware women (4-6) will close out their trip at St. Leo Thursday afternoon. In the men's match, Delaware's Sanjay Khindri was a double winner as he downed Steton's Vittorio Fratta 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 1 singles match and then teamed with John Tully to post an 8-6 win over the Stetson tandem of Fratta and Reid Stubbs at the No. 1 spot. The Stetson men swept the five other singles matches as Christian Moe downed Tully at the No. 2 spot, Birger Soiland downed Adam Liebman at No. 3, Thomas Bross downed Josh Ditman at No. 4, Mario Alberto Cayo upended Ari Zweig at No. 5, and Brian Coyle was a 6-1, 6-4 winner over Dustin Lewis at the No. 6 spot. On the women's side, Stetson swept all six singles matches in straight sets and were winners of the three doubles matches. The closest match for the Hens came at the No. 6 spot where Stefanie Riddle dropped a 6-2, 7-5 decision to Danielle Mollman. The closest doubles match was at the No. 3 spot where the Hatters' team of Mollman and Sophie Hartog downed Delaware's team of Liz Perlow and Katie Rose. AGATE MEN: Stetson def.
