TOWSON, MD -- The James Madison University men’s tennnis team won three of six singles matches and took all three doubles matches as the Dukes posted a 4-3 victory over Delaware Friday afternoon at the Towson tennis courts.

Adam Liebman defeated Brian Clay 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3 singles for the Blue Hens, who fell to 4-4 overall and 0-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association. Josh Ditman (right) posted a 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 win over Bob Allensworth at No. 4 as he improved to 48-30 in his career to move into a tie for seventh place on the school’s career wins list. Jonathan Schwartz was the other singles winner for Delaware as he defeated Brian Rubenstein 6-4, 3-6, 10-3 at No. 6.

Jesse Tarr recorded a 7-6 (8), 6-4 victory over Jesse Carl at No. 1 for James Madison, which improved to 10-9 overall and 3-3 in the league. John Snead defeated Nolan Greenberg 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2, while Carlin Campbell posted a 6-2, 6-1 win over Jason Hanschmann at No. 5.

The Dukes took the doubles point as Tarr and Snead defeated Carl and Greenberg, 8-0, at No. 1 while Campbell and Clay notched an 8-3 victory over Hanschmann and Philip Wayne at No. 2. Rubenstein and Allensworth defeated Schwartz and Levine, 8-5, at No. 3 for James Madison.

The Blue Hens face UNC Wilmington Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Towson.
