HIGH SCHOOL: Standout tennis player at Palatine High School...four-year standout who played at No. 2 singles his freshman, sophomore, and junior year and at No. 1 doubles as a senior.

AT DELAWARE: One of team’s top players...coming off an outstanding freshman season...should play at either No. 2, 3, or 4 singles spot and No. 1 doubles position with Jesse Carl...2004-05: Enjoyed an outstanding freshman season and earned the Taylor Award as the team’s Most Valuable Player...set a school record for singles wins by a freshman in a season at 18-7 (8-2 at No. 6)...18 wins was only three shy of school single season record of 21...teamed with Jesse Carl to post team’s best doubles mark at 17-5 (14-3 at No. 2)...17 wins was one shy of the school record...earned CAA Doubles Team of the Week honors for April 18 with Carl.

PERSONAL: Jason Lee Hanschmann...born Nov. 15, 1985 in Chicago, IL...son of Al and Josie Hanschmann...philosophy major at Delaware...taught tennis at the Bridges Resort in Vermont this past summer...plays the bass guitar...has an older brother....father played baseball in college.
