NEWARK, DE -- The University of Delaware men's and women's tennis teams stormed to twin 7-0 wins over visiting Mount St. Mary's on Saturday afternoon at the Delaware Field House tennis courts, as the women posted their fourth consecutive shutout and the men snapped a three-match losing skid.

The women improved to 4-0 on the season on the strength of a first-singles win from senior standout Susan Pollack, who blew past the Mount's Kaitlin Hallahan 6-0, 6-0. Sophomore star Austin Longacre paced the men (2-3, 0-0 CAA), scoring a 6-2, 6-0 win over Favio Osorio in first singles action and teaming up with junior Nolan Greenberg to outlast Osorio and Andrew Marinucci at first doubles.

On the women's side, Courtney Fenimore continued her impressive freshman campaign with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Chelsea Johnson at second singles, while sophomore No. 3 Elena Berry made short work of Emily Bolchoz for a 6-1, 6-3 triumph.

Junior Amanda Campbell continued the Blue Hen dominance at the fourth singles slot, as she coasted to a 6-1, 6-0 blowout over Emma Haley of Mount St. Mary's. Senior Alexa Dragonette posted a love-love win over Ashley Wentzel at fifth singles, and freshman Ivana Petrich defeated Alissa Thayer 6-2, 6-0 to close out singles action.

Pollack and Fenimore enjoyed a runaway victory at first doubles, as they topped Bolchoz and Haley by an 8-2 score, while Campbell and Dragonette notched an 8-2 win at No. 2 and Berry and Petrich followed suit with an 8-0 decision at No. 3.

In other men's matches, Greenberg coasted past Marinucci 6-2, 6-1 at second singles and sophomore Sam Barrer defeated Patrick Plastow 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3. Freshman Chris Hincker wore down Thad Mostowtt en route to a 6-3, 6-4 victory at the fourth singles spot, while sophomore Camilo Perez (at right) and senior Jonathan Schwartz posted straight-sets wins at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.

The men captured all three doubles matches without much trouble. Barrer and Perez provided a highlight for the Hens with a lopsided 8-0 victory at third doubles.

The Delaware women won their fifth straight over Mount St. Mary's, improved to 6-6 all-time against the Mount, and pushed their overall singles mark to 24-0 in dual-match play. The Hens' 4-0 start is their best since the 2004-05 season, when they began the year at 7-0.

Meanwhile, the men stayed perfect in six all-time meetings with the Mount.

The men's team returns to the court on Tuesday, when it visits Lehigh at 4 p.m., while the women take on Georgetown at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
