NEW HAVEN, Conn. - University of Delaware men’s tennis team members Austin Longacre and Camilo Perez (at right) both fell in their consolation matches of the ITA Northeast Regional Championships on Saturday afternoon.
Longacre lost a tight match in round one of the backdraw against Yale’s Erik Blumenkranz 6-2, 7-6, and 7-5 in the tiebreaker. He finished the fall season 9-4, and as a junior, is already tied for 16th all-time in career singles wins.
Perez won his first round match against Aneiel Bahalla of Hartford 6-1, 6-2, but then dropped a 6-3, 6-3 decision to Boston College’s Anash Muppida. He finished the fall season 6-3, and now has 33 career wins.
