NORFOLK, Va. -- The University of Delaware men’s and women’s tennis teams wrapped up the Sergio Tacchini Collegiate Invitational Tournament at Old Dominion on Sunday as the men’s team won two singles draws.

Austin Longacre, Sam Barrer (at right) and Courtney Scott won their consolation matches for the Hens as Nick Piacente and Camilo Perez won the D-1 and D-2 Singles Draws, respectively. Chris Hincker won his semifinal match, but fell to Villanova’s Zack Siegler in a hard-fought final match that ended 1-6, 7-6, 7-5, 13-11.

Piacente defeated Dusty Nelson of CNU 6-2, 6-1 in the semifinals and then came back after falling behind to Villanova’s Matt Krawczyk to beat him 4-6, 6-2, 10-1 in the finals.

Perez beat Bryan Keelan of NJIT in the semifinals to advance and play Villanova’s John Drosick in the finals of the D-2 draw. He too fell behind early, but came back to win 2-6, 7-5, 10-7.

In women’s action, Megan Doran and Kristen Mueller both won their consolation matches but Jo Jo Gruber and Ivana Petrich both fell in the semifinals.
