At Delaware: Three-year letterwinner...has posted career records of 28-14 in singles and 33-25 in doubles...expected to contribute at first and second doubles for the Hens, and will also play singles. 2006-07: Went undefeated in three matches at sixth singles for the Hens...posted 4-12 doubles record with three different partners, including 3-10 mark with Nolan Greenberg....won Lee J. Hyncik Tennis Award as junior letterwinner with highest GPA...selected to CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. 2005-06: Recorded a 7-7 singles record to go along with a 12-8 doubles mark...went 4-3 at No. 1 doubles with Jesse Carl...CoSIDA Academic All-American nominee...CAA Academic Honor Roll. 2004-05: Enjoyed an outstanding freshman season and earned the Taylor Award as the team’s Most Valuable Player...set a school record for singles wins by a freshman in a season at 18-7 (8-2 at No. 6)...18 wins was only three shy of school single season record of 21...teamed with Jesse Carl to post team’s best doubles mark at 17-5 (14-3 at No. 2)...17 wins was one shy of the school record...earned CAA Doubles Team of the Week honors for April 18 with Carl.

High School: Standout tennis player at Palatine High School...four-year letterwinner who played at No. 2 singles his freshman, sophomore, and junior years and at No. 1 doubles as a senior.

Personal: Jason Lee Hanschmann...born in Chicago, IL...son of Al and Josie Hanschmann...honor student as a philosophy major at Delaware...taught tennis at the Bridges Resort in Vermont this past summer...plays the bass guitar...has an older brother....father played baseball in college.
