At Delaware: Expected to be a top singles player for the Hens...holds career records of 29-22 in singles and 35-19 in doubles...will also contribute in doubles action.

2007-08: Went 14-11 in singles play...3-0 at No. 2 and 11-11 at No. 3...teamed with Camilo Perez to go 18-10 and Jonathan Schwartz to go 0-2 in doubles play.

2006-07: Won Alexander J. Taylor UD Alumni Association Team MVP Award after posting a team-high 15 singles wins...15-11 singles record on the season, including 12-6 at No. 4, 1-1 at No. 1, 2-2 at No. 2, and 0-2 at No. 3...17-9 in doubles, including 9-3 at No. 3 with Camilo Perez...played in ITA Regional in both singles and doubles...member of CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.

High School: Enjoyed an outstanding career at Exeter High School...four-year member of varsity team and team’s No. 1 singles player all four seasons...county champion sophomore and junior seasons...named all-county all four years...member of the National Honor Society and an honor roll student.

Personal: Sam Eric Barrer...son of James and Jackye Barrer...honor student as a sport management major at Delaware...worked at Fromuth Tennis this past summer...has two older brothers...father is an orthodontist...met Venus Williams, Bryan Brothers and Billie Jean King while working for thee Delaware Smash.
