The No. 3 doubles team of Clinton Cole
and Sean Kelly remained unbeaten on the
season but it wasn't enough as the University of
Delaware men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 non-league
decision to host Georgetown Saturday afternoon.
Cole, a native of Washington, DC (Gonzaga), and
Kelly, a freshman from Yardley, PA (Pennsbury)
improved to 7-0 at doubles this season with a 9-8
(7-4) win over the Hoyas' Dave Boyer and Ken Jordan
at No. 3 doubles. However, Georgetown won five of
the six singles matches to hand the Hens (5-2) just
their second loss of the season. Sophomore
Jordan Biel (Mainland Regional/Linwood, NJ)
was Delaware's lone singles winner, defeating Boyer
6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles to improve to 3-3.
