HAINES CITY, FLA.-- Jacksonville University defeated both the University of Delaware men's and women's tennis teams in non-league matches Tuesday at Grenelefe Country Club. The Jacksonville men downed Delaware (8-4) 7-0 while the Dolphin women downed the Blue Hen women (9-6) by a 7-2 score. In the men's match, Jacksonville won all six singles matches and swept the three doubles matches to snap Delaware's three-match win streak. Delaware's Jordan Reese suffered his first loss of the season, falling in three sets at the No. 5 spot. In the women's match, Delaware captured two singles victories as Tracy Guerin won in three sets at No. 3 and Elly Giese (14-1) extended her winning streak to eight matches with a 6-2, 6-3 win at the No. 5 spot. Jacksonville swept the three doubles matches. Both Delaware teams will take on St. Leo Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
