Delaware Sweeps West Chester 7-0

 

 NEWARK, DE – The University of Delaware men’s tennis team breezed to an easy 7-0 victory over West Chester Thursday afternoon at the Delaware Field House Courts.

 The Blue Hens, who improved to 6-3 on the season and snapped a two-match losing streak, won all six singles matches in straight sets and swept the three doubles match. The Rams fell to 1-1 on the season. The Hens have now defeated West Chester 10 straight times.

Earning singles victories for the Hens were Ira Bernstein at No. 1, Michael Murray at No. 2, Jordan Biel at No. 3, Clinton Cole at No. 4, Sean Kelly at No. 5, and Jordan Reese at No. 6. In doubles, the Hens got wins from the teams of Bernstein and Reese at the No. 1 spot, Biel and Cole at No. 2, and Kelly and Dave Mouber at No. 3.

 The Hens will host America East foe Vermont Saturday at 12 noon before heading south for their annual four-match swing through Florida.
