NEWARK, DE -- Last April, 2005, the Univesity Delaware golf team took part in The First Tee Program, a youth initiative to give people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop; through golf and character education. They are taught life enhancing values such as honestly, integrity and sportsmanship.

Team members Mike Strasburg, B.J. Jaworski, Britt Murdoch, J.J. Oakley, Tyler Kupper and UD's Sport Psychologist John Brunelle took part in the event.

We worked with over 50 inner-city 10 year olds to introduce them to the game of golf and the 'lifeskills' that The First Tee represents.
