Now in his 21st year with the University of Delaware Athletics program in 2010-11 is Scott Eatough.
Eatough joined the University of Delaware staff in May, 1989 as an administrative coordinator for the University athletic department.
He was promoted to the role of Assistant Director of Athletics for Business Affairs in July, 1992 and again in 1998 as the Associate Director of Athletics for Business and External Affairs. His current title is Associate Director for Business Operations.
Eatough will continue to oversee all financial aspects of the athletics department and its 22 intercollegiate athletic programs, including budgets, expenses, revenues, insurance, contracts, equipment, team travel and scholarships.
Additionally, he is responsible for all the financial aspects of the university's recreation program, including club sports. Eatough has added responsibilities as program administrator for the UD baseball, golf, and women's soccer programs.
A graduate of nearby Concord High School in Wilmington, Eatough earned his degree in accounting from James Madison University in 1981. While at James Madison, he played for the baseball team as a pitcher his freshman year.
After graduation, Eatough worked for seven years as an investment accountant with Provident National Bank in Wilmington.
Eatough and his wife, Nancy, a University of Delaware graduate, reside in Elkton, Md. with their son, William, who will be a sophomore at UD this fall.
