Barbara R. Fleming begins her 18th year as University of Delaware Supervisor of Season Ticket Services and her 31st with the Delaware department of athletics and recreation services in 2010-11.
Fleming is the University of Delaware athletics liaison with season ticket holders, opponents, University of Delaware Ticket Services, and outside ticket agencies, and coordinates game day football ticket sales and all post-season ticket sales.
She is also responsible for the creation and maintenance of the athletics season ticket patron database.
In addition to her football responsibilities, Fleming has similar duties with the University of Delaware men’s and women’s basketball programs.
She began her career as University of Delaware Athletics Ticket Manager in 1980 and served in that role until 1992 when she was named University of Delaware Box Office Manager for the Bob Carpenter Center. She served in that capacity until 1994.
During the 2005 football season, the University drew an average attendance of 22,176 for the regular season, which was the second highest in the nation in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision. Delaware is the only FCS team that has averaged more than 20,000 fans each of the last nine seasons. Delaware has also set attendance records in men's and women's basketball at the Bob Carpenter Center during Fleming’s tenure.
Fleming served as ticket sales manager for equestrian events at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
Single, Fleming resides in Newark, Del. She has three children, Scott, Jason, and Amanda, and grandchildren Hannah, Jacob, Anthony, Madison, Gracie, Nathan, Aubrey and Fred V.
