
Jason Gorsky, a native of West Windsor, N.J., begins his first year at the University of Delaware after being named the marketing intern in July 2010.
Gorsky will be the primary contact for men’s and women’s soccer, swimming and diving, and will assist in football, basketball and lacrosse. His work will include developing and implementing marketing plans, assisting with corporate partnership program, and overseeing a student marketing staff.
Gorsky comes to Delaware after working at the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) headquarters in Richmond, Va. While at the CAA, he worked in the marketing and championships departments.
Prior to his work at the CAA, Gorsky also worked in the athletic marketing departments of Rutgers University and Syracuse University. While at Syracuse, he headed the 2009 NCAA Division I National Champion men’s lacrosse team marketing campaign. This campaign included a record attendance night, which saw over 2,000 students and over 16,500 patrons in attendance. For men’s lacrosse at Syracuse, this was the third largest overall attendance and the largest student attendance in history.
Gorsky graduated from Syracuse University in 2010, earning his degree in sport management from the David B. Falk Center for Sport Management. He also received a degree in communications and rhetorical Studies.
