Myrtle “Meryl” Rudzinski begins her 11th year at the University of Delaware and her ninth with the UD athletics program during the 2010-11 athletics season.

A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Rudzinski is the executive secretary to the Director of Athletics and administrative assistant to the Senior Associate Director of Athletics.

In addition, she acts as event planner for functions related to the office of the Director of Athletics, including the Athletics Hall of Fame ceremony and reception, and the annual Men’s & Women’s Athletics Awards Banquet.
 
Prior to employment at the University, Rudzinski was a 28-year employee at the world headquarters of Rohm and Haas Company (now named Dow Chemical) in Philadelphia.

Her last several years was as a Business Information Specialist in the corporate library, performing online database searches for the company’s business units. She also designed, developed and maintained several department websites.
 
Rudzinski has one daughter, Falyn, and three grandsons. She and her husband, Richard, reside in Maryland.
