
Athletics is committed to diversity within its intercollegiate programs and mirrors the University goal of increasing racial and cultural diversity, creating a respectful and encouraging climate and promoting equitable treatment for people of all backgrounds.
Administrators and coaches are encouraged to include aggressive recruitment of minorities, especially African Americans, as part of their annual recruitment efforts. Coaches will be asked to report on those efforts during the fall individual recruitment meetings with the Compliance Officer. Administrative efforts will be reported to the president by the Director of Athletics and Recreation Services.
