Establishment of an intercollegiate sport may be considered only after interest and commitment have been demonstrated at the club level.
When this interest and commitment is evidenced, the AGB will first entertain consideration of status change to a varsity level sport. Supporting materials should include:
a. required budgetb. proposed schedule with appropriate local, regional and conference opponents
c. recommendation for coaching personnel
d. recommendation for facility
e. background information on activity while a club sport (number of participants, opponents, results, etc. )
2. The club level interest and commitment is expected to be sustained for an extended period of time.
3. Identification of funding sources will be an important factor in such decisions.
4. Primary consideration will be given to sports which afford:
a. Conference championship opportunities and/orb. NCAA championship opportunities
