DDD. SQUAD/TRAVEL PARTY SIZE

1. Squad and travel party size limitations are in effect for all intercollegiate sport programs. Questions regarding maximums should be directed to the Associate Director of Athletics, Internal Affairs & SWA.

2. Squad size limits apply only to championship season. All squads must meet the required maximum size no later than one week prior to the date of the first scheduled competition (scrimmage, contest, developmental meet/tournament, etc. ). Rosters with full team personnel information must be submitted to the Compliance Officer per procedures indicated in the section titled "Rosters".

3. Travel party size limitations apply separately to:

a. Non-air/non-overnight trips, and

b. Air and/or overnight trips.

A trainer must be among the maximum travel party group for designated sports.

4. Non-air/non-overnight travel party is defined as the maximum size of the entire travel party (squad, coaches, trainers, managers, etc. ) for contests that require neither flights nor overnight lodging.

5. Air/overnight travel party is defined as the maximum size of the entire travel party as described above for contests that require either a flight or overnight lodging, or both.

6. These maximums will be used to develop budgets. If supplemental funding is available, it may be used to support expenses for numbers above the travel party size. However, squad size limits may not be exceeded unless specific approval is obtained from the Director of Athletics.
