Maryland 8, Delaware 0 Maryland 7, Delaware 3 March 14, 2002   NEWARK, DE -- Beth Radford went 4-for-7 with five RBI as University of Maryland swept a non-conference softball doubleheader, 8-0 and 7-3, against University of Delaware at Delaware Field on Thursday. Radford drove in four runs in the nightcap as she had a two-run double in the first and a two-run single in the second to spark Maryland to a 6-0 lead. Delaware (2-10) rallied for two runs in the fifth on a two-run double by sophomore Laura Streets. However, Jessica Aditays pitched her way out of the jam to earn her third win of the season (3-1). Streets and Liz Winslow each had two hits in the nightcap to pace Delaware. Maryland jumped all over Delaware early in the opener, as well. The Terps (11-8) scored three in the first and two in the second to jump out to a 5-0 lead. Winning pitcher Amanda Bettker had all of the support she needed. Bettker (4-5) held Delaware to just two hits and one walk, while striking out eight. Delaware was plagued by five errors in the opener. Just three of the eight runs allowed by losing pitcher Amanda Cariello were earned. The Blue Hens play host to Mt.
