RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Delaware freshman Amanda Stacevicz was named the Colonial Athletic Association Pitcher and Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Stacevicz, a native of Cedar Grove, N.J. (Mount St. Dominic Academy), went 3-0 after throwing 19 scoreless innings last week. She allowed just 13 hits while striking out 13 batters in three appearances on the week.

Stacevicz opened the week by firing a six-hit shutout in the Blue Hens’ 2-0 win over Rider on Wednesday, striking out eight batters while walking only two. She gave up four hits in five scoreless innings of relief on Thursday to pick up the victory in Delaware’s 4-2 triumph over Binghamton.

Stacevicz recorded her second shutout of the week and third of the season on Friday after she allowed three hits and struck out three while not walking a batter during UD’s 4-0 win over Drexel. Stacevicz is now 7-7 with a 3.18 earned run average on the season, and she has won five of her last six decisions.

The awards were the third and fourth of the season for Stacevicz, who was also named the CAA Rookie of the Week on March 3 and March 23.

Rachel Cunningham of Georgia State and Emily Gould of Towson were named the CAA Co-Players of the Week.
