making its first appearance in a league

game and cruised from there, and did not
trail in the second after breaking an 8-8
tie. Hofstra scored five straight points t

and won the next two points to put the
match away.

second-seeded Pride, which ended its
season at 19-10, was led by Tessa Sphar
with 10 kills, while Shellane Ogoshi added
team-highs of 36 assists and 17

the teams' regular season meeting last
week - advanced to the championship with a
3-0 victory over fourth-seeded George
Mason in the other semifinal. The Tigers
