Delaware hosting the 25th
Annual
Asics / Delaware Invitational

NEWARK, DE - The University of
Delaware volleyball team dropped its match to the Syracuse
Orangemen, 3-0, at the Bob Carpenter Center, Saturday in the
semifinal match of the 25th Annual Asics/Delaware
Invitational.
The Hens (4-11) were led by Jennifer
Wanner, who had 10 kills and seven digs. Margaret
Lapinski added eight kills and 12 digs.
Syracuse faced Princeton in the
championship match and defeated the Tigers, 3-1. Syracuse
was led by Rachel Watson, who had 11 kills and 20 digs
against Delaware, and Dana Fiume, who had 21 kills and nine
digs against Princeton.
At the conclusion of competition, the
All-Tournament team was announced. The following players
were honored: Maureen Ferris (West Virginia), Jennifer
Wanner (Delaware), Sabrina King (Princeton), Emily Brown
(Princeton), Rachel Watson (Syracuse), and tournament MVP,
Dana Fiume (Syracuse).
