CHICAGO -- Delaware's women's
volleyball team fell to 2-3 on the season Friday with a 3-0
loss to Central Michigan by game scores of 15-8, 15-10,
16-14, in the first match of the Loyola adidas
Invitational.
Central Michigan (2-3) rode the shoulder
of Jennifer Mitchell, who recorded 21 of the Chippewas 56
kills. Jenny Young added 11 kills for Central
Michigan.
Delaware was led by Jessica
Bradosky's nine kills,10 digs and three blocks.
Jennifer Wanner also had eight kills, nine digs and
nine blocks, including five solos. The Blue Hens recorded 16
blocks as a team in the loss.
The tournament continues Saturday
afternoon as Delaware takes on host Loyola (IL) and Sam
Houston State.
