NEWARK, DE - The University of Delaware defeated Lafayette in volleyball, 3-0 (15-6, 15-9,15-8), Wednesday evening at the Carpenter Sports Building.

The Hens (5-11) were led by Jennifer Wanner, who compiled 11 kills and nine digs for the match. Jessica Bradosky added nine digs and Sadie Bjornstad aided with 20 assists.

For the Hens, the match Wednesday was their first since Saturday, September 25, when they fell to Syracuse in the semifinals of the Delaware/Asics Blue Hen Invitational.

The Hens have now won all 20 matches they have played against Lafayette (1-16). The Leopards were led by Rachel Costigan's eight kills.

Delaware will next play on Saturday, when it hosts Hartford at 1 p.m. at the Carpenter Sports Building. Saturday's match will be the first America East Conference match for the Hens for the 1999 season.
