CHICAGO - The University of Delaware volleyball team fell to 2-5 on the season with a 3-1 loss to Loyola-Chicago and a 3-2 loss to Sam Houston State in Day 2 of the Loyola adidas Invitational.

Against Loyola, Delaware lost Game 1 and 2, 15-13 and 15-9, before taking Game 3, 15-10. Loyola rallied, however, to win Game 4, 15-9, to improve its record to 3-2 on the season.

Delaware was led by Margaret Lapinski's 12 kills, Cameo Neeman's 11 kills and Jennifer Wanner's nine kills, 10 digs and eight blocks. Kelly Price led Loyola with 18 kills.

In the Blue Hens' second match of the day, Delaware lost a 2-1 lead to fall to the Bearkats, 15-10, 8-15, 14-16, 15-9, 16-14.

Delaware travels to Temple Tuesday.
