of Delaware volleyball team dropped its fifth match in a
row, losing 3-0, Friday.
The five match losing streak is
Delaware's longest since September 1996, when it lost seven
straight in a 1-8 start. Delaware rebounded to finish that
season 24-18.
Delaware (2-7) was led by Jennifer
Wanner, who had nine kills and 12 digs. Margaret
Lapinski had eight kills and 10 digs for the Blue Hens.
The University of Maryland (6-5) was led
by Nnenna Amobi with 13 kills and four blocks.
The tournament at Maryland continues
tomorrow as Delaware takes on Georgetown and San Diego at
1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. respectively.
