The University of Delaware volleyball
team found themselves in another five game match
today (Saturday) against the University of
Hartford.
The Blue Hens were able to come out
of this match victorious 3-2. The Blue Hens
improved to 10-14 on the season and 3-3 in America
East play. Hartford fell to 7-17 on the season and
2-4 in conference play. Delaware fell behind 2-0
losing the first two games 15-10 and 15-7. Delaware
rallied to win the next two games 15-7 and 15-7.
The Blue Hens as a team hit.361 in the third game.
Delaware dominated the fifth game winning 15-0. The
Hens hit .412 in the deciding game.
Delaware was led by Carlyn Cangiano
(Ellicott City, Md./Centennial HS) who had 14 kills
and 16 digs. Amy Carroll (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury
HS) had 12 kills for the Hens. Cameo Neeman
(Wilmington, Del./Ursuline Academy) had a
double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs. Erin
Brusewitz (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon HS) had 10
kills. Nicole O'Malia (Bethlehem, Pa./Notre Dame)
led the Blue Hens with 27 assists.
Hartford was led by Marisa Vino who
had 10 kills and 18 digs.
