BALTIMORE, MD -- Jennifer Wanner
(Akron, PA/Conestoga Valley) recorded a match-high 20 kills
to lead the University of Delaware volleyball team past
Loyola (MD), 3-1, Wednesday night in Baltimore.
Wanner also had nine digs and six blocks
for the Blue Hens, who won by game scores of 15-8, 15-2,
10-15, and 15-9.
Cameo Neeman added 14 kills, and
Heather Ness notched a team-high 13 digs to pace the
Blue Hens (6-9), who had lost to the Greyhounds (8-10)
earlier in the season.
America East Setter of the Week
Allison Hunter had 39 assists and nine digs for
Delaware. Margaret Lapinski recorded five kills and
11 digs for the Hens, who have won four of their last five
matches after dropping eight in a row.
Carisa Kreichauf led Loyola with 17 kills
and 10 digs.
Delaware will open its conference season
Saturday when the Blue Hens host America East rival Drexel
at Barbara Viera Court in the Carpenter Sports Building at 1
p.m.
