NEWARK, DE -- Margaret
Lapinski (Wilmington, DE/Brandywine) celebrated Senior
Night with seven kills and zero attack errors and two digs
to lead the University of Delaware volleyball team to a 3-0
(15-6, 15-3, 15-9) win over the University of Maine Friday
night at Barbara Viera Court.
Cameo Neeman had 10 kills, and
Allison Hunter added three kills and 19 assists for
the Blue Hens (15-16, 8-7 America East), who hit .349 for
the match. Seniors Jennifer Wanner, who had seven
kills and five service aces, and Heather Hess, who
posted four kills and four digs, also had big matches for
Delaware.
Maine (11-17, 4-10) was led by Leah Voss,
who recorded team-highs of 13 kills and six digs.
Delaware, which was already eliminated
from the America East Tournament, will conclude its 2000
season Saturday night at Viera Court when the Blue Hens host
Northeastern at 7 p.m.
