TOWSON, MD -- Jennifer
Wanner (Akron, PA/Conestoga Valley) recorded a
match-high 25 kills, but it was not enough as the Towson
University volleyball team defeated the University of
Delaware, 3-2 (15-13, 4-15, 17-15, 11-15, 15-12), Tuesday
night in Towson.
Margaret Lapinski added 16 kills
and 15 digs for the Blue Hens (7-10, 1-1 America East), and
Allison Hunter notched 48 assists and 15
digs.
Towson (6-12, 2-0) was led by Jordann
Tomasek, who had 18 kills and 12 digs. Meridith Baron added
17 kills for the Tigers.
Cameo Neeman notched 14 kills and
11 blocks, and Heather Ness added 14 digs for the
Hens, who recorded 15 team blocks.
Delaware will continue conference action
Saturday when the Blue Hens travel to Hofstra for a 1 p.m.
match.
