Liz Ommundsen had nine kills and four service aces

BURLINGTON, VT -- Freshman Liz Ommundsen (Northport, NY/Northport) posted match-highs with nine kills and six service aces to lead the University of Delaware volleyball team to a 3-0 (15-8, 15-1, 15-8) win over the University of Vermont Saturday afternoon in Burlington.

Jessica Bradosky added six kills and a team-high 10 digs, and Kelsey Manning recorded 19 assists and four aces as the Blue Hens (12-15, 5-6 America East) cruised to the victory.

Vermont (0-21, 0-11) was led by Eva Stefanac with six kills and Amelia Koopman, who had seven digs.

Delaware, which played without starters Allison Hunter, Heather Ness, and Cameo Neeman, hit .278 for the match. Michele Maughan notched five kills for the Hens.

Delaware will conclude its 2000 road season when the Hens travel to Drexel Tuesday for a 7 p.m. start.
