WILLIAMSBURG, VA -- In the first match of the William & Mary HI-IQ Classic, the Loyola (MD) volleyball team defeated the University of Delaware, 3-0, Friday afternoon.

Delaware (2-2) was led by senior Jennifer Wanner, who collected 10 kills and two blocks. Margaret Lapinski had five kills and six digs, while Allison Hunter and Kelsey Manning each recorded eight digs.

The Greyhounds (3-2) were led by Carisa Kreichauf, who recorded a match-high 16 kills and six digs. Krista Thorsen had 15 kills and 11 digs, and Lincy Chacko added 11 digs for Loyola.

The Blue Hens return to action Saturday, as the tournament continues. Delaware will battle Pennsylvania at 10 a.m. and William & Mary at 6:30 p.m.
