Neeman heads up balanced attack in win

 

Cameo Neeman led the Hens with 15 kills

WILMINGTON, NC -- The University of Delaware swept the last three games of the four-game match to defeat UNC Wilmington by a score of 3-1 in Colonial Athletic Conference volleyball action at Hanover Hall Saturday afternoon.

Senior Cameo Neeman collected 15 kills, 11 digs and eight blocks, while freshman Taylor Govaars recorded her third straight double-double with 13 kills and 21 digs to lead the Blue Hens to their second consecutive victory.

Also turning in fine efforts in the win, sophomore Sara Kearns with 12 kills and freshman Nicole Stuka added 16 digs.

Despite having three players turn in double-double performances, the Seahawks (11-13, 1-7 CAA) fall to the Blue Hens for the second time this season.

Delaware (8-13, 3-5) will be back on the court Sunday to take on Hofstra University at Viera Court in Newark, DE. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m.
