Delaware 3,Drexel 2 October 18, 2002 Blue Hens Win Third Straight Match PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Freshman Jennifer Daniels (Lakewood, CA) posted a career-high 18 kills and 10 digs and sophomore Valerie Murphy (Round Hill, VA) added 16 as the University of Delaware volleyball team notched its third-straight win, a 3-2 decision over Drexel in a Colonial Athletic Association matchup Friday night in Philadelphia. The Dragons (7-13, 2-7 CAA) won games one (30-24) and three (30-27), while the Blue Hens6-12, 4-5 CAA) picked up wins in games two (30-18), four (31-29) and five (15-11). Junior Liz Ommundsen (Northport, NY) notched 13 kills and 16 digs for the Blue Hens and freshman Niecy Taylor (Albuquerque, NM) added 12 kills in the win, the Blue Hens fourth conference victory of 2002. Angela Tassone posted 11 kills, 14 digs and four blocks for Drexel. The Blue Hens return to action Saturday afternoon when they travel to New York to take on CAA-rival Hofstra.
